Car Themed SEL Feelings Check in with Students, Rank the Statements Activity

Description

This quick-prep SEL feelings check-in activity is perfect for getting to know your students and building rapport. Use this activity as a feelings check-in, get to know me activity, calm down strategies activity, icebreaker activity, or rapport building activity.

Get students speaking without having to say a word! Your students will love this low-pressure engaging activity, especially those who struggle sharing their ideas or speaking in front of others.

Get to know students better based on how they rank statements on a 5point scale, from strongly disagree to strongly agree. Chose from the 198 statement cards for a game unique for each student.

Students will “park” each of the cars based on how they feel about the statements.

You’ll have both color and printer-friendly versions of:

• 198 Racecar Statement Cards
• 6 Ranking Labels

Assembly is both simple and fun. Print on card stock for durability, laminate, and cut the racecar cards apart.

Bam! You now have a fun and low-pressure way to get students talking!

This “Rank the Statements” activity helps you to develop relationships, break the ice, and build rapport with ease. Use this activity with small groups, individuals, or as a check-in activity.
