Description

Teach your young students just how powerful they can be with these acts of kindness activities for kids. Show your students that small acts of kindness and little helpful actions can have a long-lasting, meaningful impact on others. Empower students to have good citizenship skills and to perform little actions that lead to big changes.

This “Will You Help Flip the Turtle” activity is both engaging and effective. Couple turtles with acts of kindness activities for kids, and your students are sure to be hooked. Students will love cheering each other on as they encourage one another to be “turtle flippers.”

Included in this Download:

  • 63 unique Situation Cards
  • 3 blank templates to create your own situation cards.

To introduce the lesson, show students a YouTube video of a turtle stuck on its back, with a turtle friend offering a helping hand. Watch students light up as they cheer on the turtles to be helpful to one another. Just like the turtle in the videos, we all need a helping hand once in a while.ย  Challenge students to think about if they would do the same.

Then, encourage students to think about how they would respond to situations they frequently encounter from a different angle. Place all 63 Situation Cards face down on a table. One at a time, students come up and pick a card. Students read the scenario out loud and then answer the โ€œhow could you helpโ€ question. In the end, students will have a much better understanding of good citizenship skills and acts of kindness activities for kids.
