When I first became a school counselor, I struggled to find creative resources that kept my student’s attention allowing them the mental clarity to open up about their thoughts and concerns. Once a kid is lost in a good craftivity, you have a much better chance of engaging them in the conversations that truly matter. Growing tired of searching and wasting time looking for the perfect resource, I decided to make my own.

The Crafty Counselor store was born from there.

Oftentimes, school counselors are a team of one. It can be hard to juggle all of the responsibilities. As of 2021, I’ve been a school counselor for 8 years and I still find it difficult to do it all.
